Complaint: The driver was in possession of a police declaration indicating the loss of his documents. Upon a check the police discovered that the driver had the laissez-passer but it had expired. This brought a little confusion between the 2 parties.

Complaint: The driver got to the barrier, slowed down to cross but the police stopped him. when the driver got down and went to the police, the latter without any question or explanation handcuffed the driver.

Complaint: The driver got around 3:00am to the barrier and submitted his papers for checks. The Police claimed that the driver's international license was not authentic, therefore demanded that the driver pays GH 1,000.00. This situation forced the driver to sleep at the barrier. Early in the morning, the driver approached the police to retrieve his documents only to be told to pay GH 800.00. The driver told the police that his license has no challenge, therefore he was bargaining any money with the officers.

The driver then called GSA to report the issue.
 
Resolution status note: On GSA's second attempt to speak to the police, the driver was released.

Complaint: The 2 drivers got to the barrier and submitted their papers for checks. The Police kept the documents for about 20 minutes claiming that the goods were not in transit since there was no tracking device on the truck.
 
Resolution status note: Fifteen minutes after GSA's intervention, the drivers were released.

Complaint: The driver's truck broke down and he reported to Nsutem Customs. Upon completion of repair works, the driver went to Customs to retrieve his documents but was asked to pay GH 500.00.

Complaint: The driver's truck broke down and he submitted his papers to the Techiman Customs. After the repair works were finished, the driver went to Customs with the view to take his papers and proceed with his journey. To his surprise, the Customs demanded that the driver pay GH 500.00 before his papers are given to him. This demand was justified by the fact that the Customs officers moved their official car to the scene.

Complaint: The truck broke down and the police helped with the traffic management. The driver was asked to pay GH 2000 before taking his license and carte grise internationale from the police.

The Police officer demanding the money left his phone number with driver to call him whenever he was ready to pay the amount.
