Complaint: JAPTU reported to GSA that Immigration officers at Navrongo refused to allow Burkina drivers coming to pick France aurevoir car.

JAPTU tried to talk to the officers, but they refused to cooperate. JAPTU then called GSA to seek their intervention and to seek from the Immigration Head Office what requirements mut the drivers fulfil in this case.

GSA called the drivers with the intent to speak to the Immigration officers but was told that the drivers were released.

Complaint: The Police stopped about 10 trucks and kept them for more than 3 hours because the drivers were unwilling to pay GH 5.00.  
Resolution status note: The Police claimed they were carrying out their routine check, but denied asking drivers for money.

GSA drew the Officers' attention on the directive issued by The IGP on ' operation clear the corridor' which required all officers along Ghana's transit corridor to desist from stopping the transit truck.

The Officers replied by saying the IGP's directive was just for trucks leaving the Ghana Ports to the landlocked countries.

GSA staff reiterated that the directive was for both legs of the journey.

Complaint: These 2 drivers were following an ghanaian who went through the red light. The Police pursued them, stopped the foreign trucks but allowed the Ghanaian to go.

Complaint: The Representative of the Burkina Shippers Council reported to GSA that 2 (20fts) containers in transit have been sent on UCL by Customs, even though the Customs Administration informed that such exercise had been halted.  
Resolution status note: With GSA's intervention through their focal person at the Customs Head Quarters, the complaint was resolved.

Complaint: The Police stopped the drivers and requested for money. The drivers reported to GSA. GSA staff speaking to the Police was told that the drivers refused to provide the goods papers.

After a long explanation and deliberatons the Police agreed to release the drivers.

Complaint: The Police stopped the driver, took his papers and claimed the driver's Carte Grise and Permis International are fake. The Police later on requested driver to pay GH 100.00, amount which was reduced to GH 50.00

Complaint: Nsutem Customs officers stopped about forty (40) tankers and insisted that they pay GH 5.00 each. Since the drivers were not willing to pay the requested amount, the drivers' papers were seized from 6am till after 8am when the drivers reported to GSA.

Complaint: The Police stopped the driver and proceeded with checks on the truck and papers. They took the papers and left the driver in Sogakope town without giving any clue as to where they were going.

Complaint: The Police stopped the driver checked his papers and proceeded to check inside the truck. Upon finding scissors in the truck, the Police handcuffed the driver against a tree. This is because the officer claimed he suspected that the driver uses the scissors to cut indian herb.

Complaint: Police stopped the driver and claimed to have received a signal from his colleagues that the driver drove through the red light. The driver agued that he never did and suggested a check from the monitor conected to the camera.  
Resolution status note: While GSA staff was uploading the complaint unto the platform, the driver called to report that the officers asked him to pay money and go but he told them until the truth is disclosed he wouldn't pay anything. Upon hearing this the Police released the driver.

Complaint: Immigration Officers at Techiman toll boot stopped four (4) trucks and asked them to pay GH 10.00 each. When the drivers said they did not have money, the Officers demanded that the drivers' mated provide their ID cards. After providing the ID cards, the Officers claimed that the ID cards should have been stamped by their officials at the border.  
Resolution status note: Few minutes after this intervention, the drivers were released.
