The driver reported the issue to GSA for their intervention.
GSA interacted with the Police Officer who left his telephone number with the driver.
Speaking to the Police, GSA was told that the Officers had been at the scene from dawn to around 1pm, and therefore they needed money for water.
GSA explained to the Police that they had no right to request money from transit drivers. Upon hearing this the Police denied requesting GHs 2,000.00 but something to encourage them.
GSA requested the Police to release the driver to continue his journey.
The Police consented to release the driver.
Few minutes later, the driver called to confirme his release.
