NTB Type: Other type: Police delay and extortion
Complaint: Three drivers were stopped by the Police and after checking the first aid boxes, the Police requested that the drivers provided thermometers. The drivers were delayed for about 30 minutes
Status note: Drivers were released after GSA's intervention
Progress update note: One if the drivers reported the incident to GSA.

When questioned by GSA, the Police confirmed that the drivers did not have thermometers in their first aid boxes.

GSA then advised the Police that since that was not a criminal offence, the drivers should be cautioned on the advantages of having such items in the trucks and let the drivers procede with their journey.

The Police assured GSA to release the drivers.

Few minutes later, one of the drivers called to confirm their release
