When called, GSA requested to speak to the Police. The Police claimed the goods were not transit because there was no tracking device nor the ECOWAS Inter-State Road Transit sticker.
GSA then took the opportunity to explain to the Police that these goods are export from Factories and warehouse in Ghana to Burkina Faso. GSA further clarified that once there is a Customs document covering the goods, they can legally be carried through.
The Police were uncooperative upon all the explanations. Then GSA requested to join their focal person at the Police Head Quarters for their intervention.
It was at that point that the Police released the driver's documents to him.
