The importer's goods (0ne unit used Howo watering truck, one unit used 12 M3Howo agitating lorry, and one init used CAT 33CL excavator) with B/L No V2412LYGTEM53E and V2412LYGTEM53Garrived at the port in December 2024. He gave an advance money of two millions francs CFA to his agent,( Laurent) to start the clearing process. The agent delayed everything till the July 2025 when the importer decided to come to Ghana to follow up on the cargos.
By the time the importer came to follow up with the agent who was no more picking his call it was discovered that part of the cargo (excavator) was listed on UCL, gazeted and auctioned. The agitating lorry was gazeted but not released and the watering truck was available.

GSA upon receipt of the complaint visite GRA-Customs to seek clarity on the matter.
After a lengthy discussion and check in the Customs system, it was discovered that all three items were auctioned.
This sounded contrary to the fact that while in discussion with GRA-Customs, the importer sent a message indicating that the watering truck was still at the terminal.
