The driver was stooped by the Police and requested to pay GH 200.00. The driver told the officers that he did not have money. The officers then reduced the amount to GH 100.00.
Failure to pay this amount caused the driver a delay of almost an hour.

The driver reported to GSA.
GSA enquired from the Police what called for the collection of money from the driver. The Officer claimed that it was an amount all drivers pay whenever they get to that barrier.
GSA explained to the Officer the words of the IGP during a meeting with the Police Administration on drivers' harassment and extortion on the country's corridors.
The Office assured GSA to release the driver.
About 20 minutes later, GSA called the driver but was informed that the police did not release him.
GSA then share the driver's and truck details with a focal point at the Police Head Quarters for their intervention.
About 5 minutes after the above action by GSA, the driver called to confirm his release.
