Complaint

The driver stopped at the barrier, the Police refused to open the barrieer. He gave 1 cedi to his apprentice to be given to the police. The Police requested for the drivers papers. Upon giving the said papers, the officers handcuffed the driver for 2 hours before removing it. The officers then asked him to pay GH 500

The driver reported to GSA. GSA staff was told by police that the driver refused to stop but denied asking for money. GSA staff made it clear to police that he was going to report the case to the Police Head Quarters, on the ground that the could not handcuff a driver who was not armed or aggressive.
