These trucks were declared overloaded by the Sawla weighbridge operators. However, the scale papers of the same trucks from Burkina Faso showed otherwise.

The issue was resolved and the drivers released  

Progress update note

One of the drivers called GSA staff to report the issue. GSA staff asked the operator to allow these trucks get to the nearest scale so as to verify the weights but the latter refused.

GSA staff went ahead and called the National Axle Load Manager from GHA to submit the the same request. The national Manager also objected to the proposal.

GSA staff had to call on his HOD for the matter to be resolved.
