Complaint

The driver called to report the fact that one National Security Officer, manning the Mobile (weigher) Van at Techiman asked him to pay GH 1,000.00 because his truck accidentally passed on a certain cable.  

Status note

GSA staff called the driver back few minutes later to follow-up on the issue but was informed of the release of the driver.  

Progress update note

GSA staff when informed, asked to speak to the Officer. The Officer informed GSA that the driver's truck passed and damaged the Cable connecting the pad to the monitor. He therefore asked the driver to pay GH 1,000.00. The Officer in question told GSA staff that it an order given them from above. Following that statement, GSA staff requested to know the person he can speak to, so as to confirm that order.

The National Security Officer did not tell GSA staff the person to call to ascertain his statement.
