NTB Type: 8.4. Transport related corruption
Complaint: The driver was stopped by the Police and asked to provide his papers, which he did. But the Police said until the driver paid GH 10.00 he wouldn't be allowed to go. As the driver begged, the officer increased the money to GH 20.00 and told him that he would keep increasing as the driver kept begging.
Status note: The driver was released after paying the money
Progress update note: Upon hearing the driver, GSA staff asked the driver to wait for about 5 to 10 minutes and in case he is not released, he shall speak to the Police.

A cattle owner who also got to the barrier, helped the driver beg but the Police insisted that he paid GH 10.00
