Complaint

Three transit truck drivers who have been stopped by the Police at the entrance of Kanewu and made to pay GH 5.00 each met another police car with the registration number GP 4685, which suddenly stopped them and requested for GH 5.00. The officers retained the drivers' papers for not paying the amount demanded.

Right after the discussion with one of the officers the drivers were released without paying any money  

Progress update note

One of the drivers called GSA staff to report the issue. GSA staff speaking to one of the officers was told that the drivers were complaining of the numerous checkpoints on the corridore. However, they denied asking them for money.

GSA staff explained to the officer that the drivers' complaint is true. He further explained to the officer that on one is saying the drivers shouldn't be checked, but the unnecessary delays are hindering the transit trade.
