On Saturday, 27th September 2018, 15 trucks were delayed at Techiman due to the closure of Bamboe bridge. The drivers did well to report to the Techiman Customs who assured them that of easy crossing since it was not their fault. At their arrival at the border (Hamile), they were asked to pay GH 1000.00 for each extra day.

Around 4pm one the drivers called Adama called GSA staff to confirm their release  
Progress update note
The agent GSA staff who in return gave him the phone number of Mr. George ENCHIL, our focal point person at the Customs Head Quarters. Mr. ENCHIL assured the agent by saying because the delay wasn't deliberate, they will contact their collegues at Techiman to interven for the release of the trucks.

GSA staff called the Customs Officer at the Border, Mr. Jonathan Anaman who said they sent a note the Techiman office to confirm what the drivers told them. He continued and said as soon as they received the confirmation, the drivers would be released.

But as at Monday, 1st September 2018, the drivers were still at the border. GSA staff called Mr. ENCHIL who once again reiterated that a note has been sent to all exit point not to collect any money from the transit truck drivers. He also said that it may be that the note hasn't got to Hamile.
