Complaint

Five truck drivers who failed to stop to stop at a checkpoint were pursued and later stopped at another checkpoint. In course of questioning them, one took his phone and start recording the Police Officers. The driver in question was taken to the Police Station and being prosecuted for Court.  

Status note

About 30 minutes later the driver called to confirm their release.  

Progress update note

GSA staff spoke with one officer at the Kitampo POlice Station who confirmed the act and said they were prosecuting the driver ffor court.


GSA staff then called M.Adu Baohen, focal point person at MTTD Head Quarters. The latter in his turn called the In-charge of the Kitampo Police Station who later also confirmed having the case at his end but assured M. Boahen of solving the issue at their level.

GS staff called the driver in about 30 minutes and was told that the drivers were released, and this due to the intervention of M.Adu Boahen.
