The driver called because he was kept by the police and asked to pay GH 5.00. When he told them that he didn't have money, they started asking him for licence, carte grise internationale, fire extinguisher, and warning triangle. He provided all these but the police refused to allow him to go.
- Status note
-
About two minutes later, the driver called to confirm his release.
- Progress update note
-
GSA staff speaking to the police was told by the one officer that they wanted to check the truck but the driver just left them and started making call. However he denied asking the driver for money.
GSA staff then explain to the officer that under normal circumstance, the transit truck are not to be stopped on road. But in case they are stopped, they must not be kept unduly since they have been given a number of days to exit the border.
