Complaint

A mate was beaten and locked up by the immigration officers. Just because the mate mistakenly went to their office instead of the Burkina immigration to prepare some documents for the truck.  

Status note

From morning, The mate had been in the immigration Custody till 4:54 in the evening before the driver called to confirm their release. But the immigration officers kept the money which was given the mate ( 5000FCFA) before releasing them  

Progress update note

GSA staff tried to speak with the immigration officers but they all refused to cooperate.

Later in the afternoon, GSA staff called back for a follow up. It was then that one of the officers accepted to speak but after a long conversation with him, he cut the call. GSA staff called Mr. Bationo Rakissiwinde from the Burkina Shippers' Counsel who sent a colleague to follow the issue.
