Complaint: Driver was stopped and required to provide weighing papers from Kumasi and Djama, otherwise to pay an amoount of money
Progress update note: Driver called BA staff who in return called Ghana Highway Authority focal point for clarification on the police mandate with regards to the weighing certificate.
Focal point person spoke to the police to confirm the right of the police to check the weighing certificate and entreated the driver to request for their weighing certificate at every weighing point. After this, the driver was released. Ghana Highway Authority will include sensitization and education of stakeholders on this requirement in addressing drivers during the caravan in November 2018 from Tema to Paga
