Progress update note
progress: On 10th Feb 2017, a follow-up letter was sent to ‘le Président du Haut Conseil du Patronat des Entreprises de Transport de la Côte d’Ivoire’ to continue to engage with Cote d’Ivoire Customs on the issue.

The Border Information Centre at the Noe border through the Borderless Alliance Secretariat on 20th Jan 2017, officially petitioned the Director General of Cote d’Ivoire Custom stating among others, the huge vehicular congestion at the Elubo-Noe border as a result of the 25 trucks parked at the Elubo side of the border awaiting clearance from the Noe Custom and thereby making passage and usage of the border difficult for other users. The petition also stated that the goods were already ordered and were en route to Abidjan through the border before the coming into force of the new direction in question.
